A teapot with a gently rounded form and a softly wavering expression.
Each time you hold it, the pace of the moment seems to slow.
It brings a quiet sense of calm, even to the simple act of brewing tea.
Artist Profile
Masae Kamiue
Masae Kamiue is a ceramic artist based in Osaka, Japan.
Her works are characterized by soft gray tones and subtle undulations.
Contours that are not overly refined, along with slight distortions, are intentionally embraced, creating pieces that carry a quiet tension and understated elegance.
While her vessels evoke a distant, almost unfamiliar atmosphere, they settle naturally into daily life, revealing more of their depth with use.
They are beautiful simply as objects, and come into their own through use.
Their presence seems to gently shape the surrounding space.
Each piece is handcrafted.
Please note that variations in texture, color, shape, and size may occur. We hope you will enjoy these differences as part of each piece’s unique character.

| Notes | The unglazed, fired parts retain the natural texture of the clay, so you may notice a faint earthy (mineral) smell, but it is harmless to the human body. No sealing is required. If you are concerned about oil stains, it is safe to briefly rinse the item with water before use. Please refrain from using dishwashers and microwaves. |
