Author Introduction
Cocorobiyori
Cocorobiyori is a potter who creates pottery in Hyogo Prefecture.
A world reminiscent of refined French antiques.
With the desire for people to enjoy antiques as "design" in the modern era, they create their works.
These dishes possess a gentle softness while also exuding a dignified strength, making them easy to use for everyday meals and special occasions alike, and they are sure to become cherished pieces.
The calm white and soft gray colors, combined with a glossy texture, create an expression that enhances any dish or scene without being overpowering.
This is a piece of tableware that you can continue to use without getting tired of it, even as time passes.
Each piece is handmade by the artist.
Please note that the texture, color, shape, and size of the actual product may differ from the photograph. Please enjoy each piece as its unique individual character.
There are places on the crackle-glazed pottery from Kokorobiyori that look like there are black holes in them.
This is a phenomenon called "bubbling," where the glaze foams during firing, and the bubbles remain after solidifying, creating holes. It is more likely to occur in areas with a thicker glaze, and is a unique expression created by chance, not a defect.
