Hiro Kashihara
Spoon & Fork Artist / sculptor
I create minor supporting characters to enhance the table's cuteness and deliciousness. The inspiration for this came from my wife, who loves cooking and was collecting beautiful tableware and cutlery.
"I want to create a time that will make my wife happy. I want her to have a beautiful tea time." This thought led me to start making cutlery.
He began full-scale production in 2020, drawing on the concept of "Spoon You Nurture" to create works that incorporate scenes and emotions the artist himself finds beautiful into simple shapes, using materials that change over time, such as brass and nickel silver.
Currently, I am primarily producing a series of works with different timelines: Tableware specimens, Replica Edition, and Arumono.
Tableware specimens "embody the artist's time," Replica edition "inscribes the time of the user, and Arumono "feels as if they've been there for some time." We hope you can find one that will accompany you in your daily life.
