A medium-sized bowl with a simple shape.
It has a moderate luster and gives off an antique feel.
This dish makes Japanese dishes, such as simmered dishes and salads, look even more beautiful.
Artist Profile
Yoshida pottery
Originally from Kyoto Prefecture, he currently uses the former Miyatsukacho Residence in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture as his studio for his creative endeavors.
The works created under the theme of "Beautiful Tableware" place great importance on the beauty of the first impression, and are made with a focus on ease of use, comfort when touching the mouth, and the safety of the raw materials.
The tiny cracks in the glass called crazing appear on the vessels. They are patterns that are created by the difference in the shrinkage rate of both the clay and the glaze when they are fired. The color of the crazing will soak in with each use, and it will become something that belongs to the person. It will grow with use, the more you use it, the more you will appreciate it, and it will grow in its own way depending on the person who uses it.
We hope you enjoy the new scenery that emerges as the place changes.
