A lovely coffee cup with a rounded accent on the base and handle.
Amber (brown) has a warm texture.
The calm and elegant atmosphere is impressive.
Cups with stems have a special feel to them, but they are also recommended for everyday use, such as for drinking coffee or tea.
Artist Profile
Yoshida pottery
Originally from Kyoto Prefecture, he currently uses the former Miyatsukacho Residence in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture as his studio for his creative endeavors.
The works created under the theme of "Beautiful Tableware" place great importance on the beauty of the first impression, and are made with a focus on ease of use, comfort when touching the mouth, and the safety of the raw materials.
The tiny cracks in the glass that appear on the vessels are called crazing. They are patterns that occur due to the difference in the shrinkage rate of both the clay and the glaze when they are fired. The crazing takes on color with each use, and it becomes something that belongs to the person. It grows with use, the more you use it, the more you appreciate it, and it grows in its own way depending on the person who uses it.
We hope you enjoy the new scenery that emerges as the place changes.
