This is a mini-tong from the "Jute" series, a representative series of Hiro Kashihara, with an original design that looks like a fork and spoon stuck together.
Jeté is a type of jump in ballet. It's a jump where a ballet dancer kicks their leg out to the side and jumps.
I tried to capture a delicate, tense, and lighthearted sense of dynamism in a simple form.
Its appearance possesses a classic feel, yet also incorporates a simple and modern minimalism.
This series features a unique design that stands out from the crowd, with its distinctive details of curves that extend outwards and a silhouette that creates a striking contrast.
A work by cutlery artist Hiroshi Kashihara.
Kashiwara Hiro's cutlery has a unique surface finish that gives it an antique, classic look, as if it has been used for a long time.
The contrast between the original brass and the soft golden color that gradually appears with each use adds a shabby chic impression to the table.
The appeal of brass as a material.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, characterized by its unique, soft color.
Because an oxide film easily forms on the surface, the texture will gradually change as you use it day after day.
One of the charms of these products is that the texture varies depending on how often you use them, how you wash them, how you store them, and the individual environment of each user.
Please enjoy aging in your own way.
How to care for brass tableware
Brass is a metal that is weak against moisture and acid, and its surface color tends to change easily.
To prevent food and moisture from sticking to the dishes, please rinse them immediately after use. Please be especially careful when using this product with foods that discolor metals, such as citrus fruits, foods with a strong acidic taste, or black tea.
Also, to dry quickly, stand it upright to dry, or wipe off the moisture with a cloth (soft cloth) and store it.

- Moisture can easily cause rust or clouding. After washing, be sure to thoroughly dry it before storing. Please be especially careful when using it with citrus fruits, foods with strong acidity, or foods that discolor metals, such as black tea. It will gradually become cloudy due to moisture in the air. If you are concerned, please polish it with a cloth from time to time.
- Each item is handcrafted, so there may be individual differences in length and shape. Also, we intentionally finish them with a worn, antique look. Please understand that minor scratches are part of the design.
- Do not use in dishwasher, oven, or microwave.
- Please be very careful when handling forks and knives, as the tips are very sharp.
- Please note that depending on the type of dishware you are using, scrubbing too hard may cause scratches.
- There is a possibility of causing a metal allergy. If any abnormalities appear, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
- Kashiwaba Hiro's creations are made with such delicacy, like jewelry. Please handle them gently, especially during meals and cleaning.
