Event sponsored by Suntory's craft whiskey "Maker's Mark"
"Pairing Time by Maker's Mark" where you can enjoy the "connection" between two people.
For two days from December 16th to December 17th, two world-renowned chefs will collaborate to hold a dinner event where you can enjoy the "connection" with your loved ones at the end of the year. (Looks like dinner is already full)
Prior to that, cutlery from Hiro Kashihara's Jute series will also be on display and on sale from December 4th in a corner that recreates a dining table with whiskey.
Maker's Mark is distinctive for its red sealing wax.
Craft whiskey that is carefully made by hand.
The HP had these words.
“ There's an old saying at Maker's Mark Distillery: "Even if we could make it faster, we wouldn't do it." At Maker's Mark, we place great importance on carefully crafting each and every bottle of our bourbon. That hasn't changed since our founder filled the first bottle of whisky. Good whiskey is made carefully by hand, not by machines. This is a belief that everyone involved with Maker's Mark has maintained since its founding. ” (Excerpt from Maker's Mark website)
Also, the concept of this event is "connection".
Kashihara himself believes that cutlery is an important bridge between food and people, and each piece is made by hand.
From the artist to the user, with daily use, it gradually ages and takes on a texture that can only be created by that person. I strongly resonated with the concept of the work, ``cutlery that grows,'' so I decided to exhibit it this time.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of table coordination will be created by incorporating jeté on the day.
